Have you reviewed your will recently?
01 July 2008
People who have written a will should ensure they review it at least once every five years, according to Help the Aged.
Helen Foster, head of wills and legacies at the charitable organisation, explains that it should also be examined after major changes in circumstances.
This could include the birth of a child or a significant alteration in assets.

Ms Foster suggests that advice is not difficult to obtain and that there are a number of organisations that will provide counsel free of charge.
She states that consumers are never too old or too young to make a will.
"It's something that's easy to put off, but do go and do it - making that step will provide peace of mind for you and ensure that the people you care about are protected," Ms Foster concludes.
Meanwhile, figures from the Co-operative Legal Services suggest that the average person in the UK is 59 years old before they make a will.
