The Credit Crunch fails to dampen our spirits

10 November 2008

The Credit Crunch fails to dampen our spiritsDespite the credit crunch 70 per cent of Brits are feeling positive about the future.

The "Some Are More Equal Report" - funded by the Department of Health reveals people earning more than £30,000 are even more happy, with an "80 per cent rate of optimism".

This figures drops to 69 per cent if you earn between £17,500 to £29,999.  Unsurprisingly the lower paid you are the less optimistic you are.

In the survey just under 2,000 people were asked about how pessimistic or optimistic they currently felt.

In related news, a survey from the Skipton Building Society recently found that staying single may be the best way to survive the credit crunch, with almost half of men the society questioned saying that they spend more while in a relationship.
