London home to UK's priciest road

Half of the UK's most expensive streets are in either Kensington or Chelsea, research from Halifax shows.
Properties in these boroughs will set buyers back millions, with The Vale the most expensive street overall - a home on this road will leave a hole of £4.6 million in a homeowners' pocket, on average.
Chief Economist at Halifax, Martin Ellis, said that the Royal Borough has been a "highly fashionable area" in which to live since the 1960s and that its prime location attracted "affluent celebrities and ultra-wealthy foreign businessmen".

Outside of the capital, the priciest road is Panorama Road in the city of Poole in Dorset, with an average property price of more than £4 million.
Further north, regular haunt of footballers and Wags Alderley Edge in Cheshire is home to the most expensive houses outside the south of England. Congleton Road in the area has properties averaging almost £1.7 million.
A recent survey from the Nationwide showed that house prices fell for the 12th month in a row in October.
